It's 80's Night

Its 80's night from the Art Bar in Worcester, or Aht Bah in Woostah if you like it with the Boston accent. DJ was forced to kid sit and I can't play music at home because Jenn was engrossed in the Daytime Emmy's (her attachment to the people of Port Charles is a little unhealthy). So, that leaves me, Dj, and Kev and a bottle of Tanqueray. Around 8:00 PM sometime it begins:

Some Cheesy English Band - What Have I done To Deserve This?
	"Didn't they have any drugs over there? I mean the rest of the bands are firing up poppy crap and I have to listen to this guy sing about how he bought her flowers and talked with her and then she dumped him. Maybe it's because you were a friggin wuss."
The Bangles - Manic Monday
	"Susanna Hoffs was hot. And for all you chowderheads who argue with me about how if you take the lead singer out of the band , it's still the same band, would you see a tour with the Bangles that didn't include her? That's the equivalent of the Tyson Upper Cut - Left Hook combo. You don't have a chance against it. You must give in to the fun."

	cant be decade specific. They are somewhat timeless. You can always get away with playing them pretty much on any radio format.

Mark calls the wife to check in and she tells him she is all excited because Vanessa Marcil won a Daytime Emmy Award. To me this is the equivalent of my 4th Flight Club Championship. No pride in that, just doing your job.

	"This song is too good to classify as an 80's song. It was made in the 80's , I'll give you that. I cant argue with the choice to play it. When I hear Angus, I think of steak. Hmmmmmm…..steak…."

I think the most disappointing time of 80's night is when they play those little clips and you think they are going to play the song you want to hear."
